How model specific are sissy bars and the mounting brackets? I want to find one on EBay but I dont want to get the wrong one, or wrong brackets.

not sure but i think they're a little different on the Rand S. i just looked till i found one that was listed for a C just to be safe

Yep,bolt pattern(on struts) for C is different, the R S & N are the same...................... Rod

And just to add a tad bit to what Rod said, 1300 and 1800 C models are the same. 1300 and 1800 R,S,N are the same. So if you have a 1300C, the backrest for an 1800C will fit.
