Looking for a solution to the need to move exsiting handlebars back toward me. Rise is fine as-is, but would like to move the bars back an inch and a half or even a bit more.......don't want to buy bars or expensive risers......any way to accomplish this need at a reasonable cost.

Most risers will move you up and back. I think if you just move them back they will hit the speedo housing and it will affect your steering. Most find that, moving up 1 1/2 up and 1 1/2 back will do the trick, you wont find yourself leaning foward at all. Check out "Phat risers" they work well for me.

Risers

Phat Risers. I changed to the basic riser which raised the bar 1.5" and back 2". Didn't have to re-route cables, easy to change out. Really like them and it really did make a difference. Bought from Scootworks.

What kind of bike is this for? Many times if you are riding an RST you can swap to CFN risers and be just fine.

Or if you have a C you can change to R bars and risers

R model

I have an 06 R model.
Took a set of C risers...looked and figured where I wanted the bars.
Cut a 15* angle on the bottom WITH the appropriate length and hit it dead center.
Drilled and tapped the bottom and screwed em in.
I left the cut off studs in and have had no problems going on 3 years.

Worked for me and if you shop you can get a set of C risers REAL CHEAP.
