Do you mean that it's supposed to do this? I can't hardly ride it for more than 100 miles without having to stop and get the feeling back in my hands. Is there anything that helps this. I may have to seriously think about trading this thing in for something else!

Numb hands is common but not just on V twins. I have experienced this on 4 piston bikes also.

Your body will get used to it and it should eventually go away.
Mine did.

poor circulation is likely the real issue. Try excercise.

Since changing from the stock exhaust system, I have noticed considerably more vibration between 68 and 76mph. Traveling slower than 68 or faster than 76 the vibration felt (on my bike) is not worth mentioning.

THINGS TO Check:

Front tire wear - Cupped? Even?
Front Tire balanced? Might want to recheck
Rear Tire Balanced? Might want to recheck
Rear Tire Wear- Cupped? Even

I can ride 500 miles in one day with no gloves and stock handgrips. My only complaint is I tend to grip hard - I need to relax a little - my hand cramps. I have no vibration complaints.

I have 18,500 miles and on my second set of tires.

I don’t have that problem, with stock grips and handlebars.

Do you have stock grips and handlebars?
Are you overgripping the grips?

I dont find that my bike vibrates excessively at any speed or normal rpm. (not counting bad shifts on my part) Might want to let someone else with a VTX ride it, or try the shop. I have found that since changing my pipes my bike does vibrate more, but again ,its pretty much the same at any speed.

If your bike is vibrating that bad then shot use that as a pick up line for a hottie at the bar. Many woman would love to a good vibrator.... LOL Seriously, I haven't noticed a major vibration in my bike at that speed. You certainly will have some but shouldn't be that big of a problem.

Mine vibrates really bad around 75 mph and it goes away by 82 mph. So I have to cruise at 65 or over 90... It is definitely RPM specific, stay in a lower gear and it come on around 62 mph  . The vibration is so bad the mirrors are useless and my hands will go numb in minutes at that speed. Pulled both wheels and checked balance and they are pretty good (as good as my other bikes) so I don't think that is it. I will see if I can ride someone else’s bike to see if it is as pronounced on their bike also. I have an '04 1300C with 5k on the bike, only mod is K&N filter, Progressive 412 shocks and Cobra Slashdowns pipes (but it vibrated just the same when it was stock). Does anyone know if it is more common in the older bikes?
