Went for a long ride on my 2002 1800 C today with first 75 miles being great. Then stopped at county gashole and filled up. I barely made it out of the parking lot before motor started putttering and cutting out and then dying. Manage to push it into some shade. Cheked the battery cables and was loose on positive side. Tightened it up but still no start, just turning over real fast. Finally ran the battery down and called honda Club for a tow. I will find out on Tuessday I guess.

I think I got bad gas in that [email protected] hole. One guy told me that they (the gas hole) had to have their tanks replaced due to leakage in the past. He said that he had a lawn more filled from there and quit after a few minutes.

Question? If it was water in the gas, what kind of fix am I lookin at? :x

that happen to me but it was my cpu not the gas 02 1800c

Got a bunch of water in the cage a few years ago when I paid for gas.

Station covered the whole bill to drop and dump the tank, replace fuel filter and the tow.

Hold them to it if the cause is bad gas!

I had a similar experience yesterday. I was out in the boonys and had forgotten to set my trip meter on the previous fill-up. The light came on and not knowing how far I was from the next fuel stop I pulled up to the single pump. I just put a couple of gallons in. We got about 10 miles down the road, stopped at an intersection and took off. When I got into 3rd, the damn thing coughed and then lined out. It has never done that in 21,000 miles. When I shifted into 5th, it did it again. It lined out and hasn't done it since. I'm guessing trash in the gas? 1800 03 C

Could be trashin in the bottom of the tank. Dunno. 30,000 and never a hiccup. :(

Hi. Did your bike sputter first then beging to die? How many miles on it at the time :?: Thanks-John (walking man)

The manual says sheck fuel pump first, then a whole host of things. ECM is down the list aways :shock: .

I'm one of those that always ran premium even though I know the theory is that you can use regular. I had been running regular for the last 1000 miles because the price has gotten so high.
She'll be getting a dose of the good stuff next time out. :shock:

I'm hoping it was just a bit of trash. Think I will go fire it up since it's sat for a day and see what it does. If you hear a big boom, call 911 for me will ya? Oh..... and tell them to tend to my X first.
