Hey everyone, I have a 1300 C and was just wondering what you think. I am going on a trip with the wife in a few weeks and need a shield. Not only to keep bugs of my front side, but to keep my neck from snaping! When i'm on the highway, my head gets real tired real fast with a helmit on because of the wind pushing back on my head. So which is the best all around? Prices are relitivly the same and they both look good to me, sooooooo please vote!

Thanks,
Scott

I have the c model and the 20'' big shot gradient black from MS. Looks good easy to put on/off.

I have the MS, I think the NC looks way too skinny and kind of awkward.
It's not hard to take off - this was another selling point for me; but honestly the only time I have taken it off was to put my risers on.

I have the NC 2-up because it was on sale when I got it at the time, and also because it can be taken off so easily. Plus, the NC shield is a better quality shield than the MS. JMO

The G/F and I both have the NC 2 Up. Easier to remove (I take it off EVERY time I wash and wax the bike) more curve, better quality, and the replacement lexan shield is cheaper (69.00 or so) if you wanna cut down and take too much or if you get a BAD scratch....

I voted for the MS Fats because I have one, and I like the more secure mounting bracket.

I guess mounting two speakers to the back of the shield makes me appreciate the mounting hardware.

Others have comment that Memphis has superior hardware, but hey if it keeps the shield on that you buy than it is darn good hardware.

Have had both, MUCH prefer the Fats. I don't like the NC mounting brackets at all. I did read the NC is supposed to be a better shield, stronger and more break resistant. I figger if something hit the shield hard enough to break it (fats) you are going to replace it (nc) anyway. It also doesn't bother me to use a tool to take it off, it only comes off when I do a complete detail on it. I do like the available billet straps for the front of the NC and like the NC lowers (thats why I got the NC shield and lightbar - just for the easy mounting of the lowers).

I have the Memphis Shades, but would rather have the National cycle because when I go for the lightbar, the National Cycle lightbar is alot nicer looking than most others I've seen, and I've heard they are incompatible with Memphis Shades shields.
