When I bought my 1800N it came with a Hondaline backrest. It's probably intended for an R/S model because of how difficult it can be to bolt it down. Anyway, I have a set of Tsukayu VTX-specific hard bags, which I know work on the 1800N because a number of people have been using them for the past 1-2 years (a guy that I ride with was one of the first and taught Tsukayu that they can work on the Neo). Anyway, the mounts for the bags require the use of the rear bolt on the fender rail, where the Hondaline backrest uses the forward two bolts and cover up the rear bolt completely. I really don't care to drill a hole in the Hondaline mounting brackets -- I'd rather get one that will work for both the bike and the new bags, then sell the Hondaline one.

These are the brackets I have

Does anybody know which sissybar(s) for the 1800N leaves the rear fender rail bolt accessible? The guy that I ride with bought a generic China one off Ebay and it works fine, but I'm looking to find other options.

Thank you!

I ended up buying the Cobra set (link), which uses the front two fender bolts. In my opinion it's an all-around better set than the one that came on the bike when I bought it -- it's much lighter too.

The only negative with the Cobra set is that there seems to be no way to buy just the backrest portion alone. For example, if you buy a set and it ends up being too low on your passenger's back, there is no way to just buy the more extended one. You have to buy a whole new set. And these sets are very expensive.

I have an 1800-T, with a HondaLine backrest and had the same issues. If you can find the mounting brackets for the "T" bags, they use the front 2 bolts, since the back one is hidden. Once I got those, the entire installation took less than 45 minutes...

I'm running the Tsukayu VTX Specific bags with the Palidin quick disconnect system. Took a while to figure everything out but works great.
Check it out here,
