just about finished with the scoot but found the speedo won't clear the dash panel (C model). I have the 6 degree trees (can't remember the namebrand but SURE as hell would have appreciated a heads up from the ad that they WOULDN'T WORK on a stock bike),
Is there a dirt cheap (haven't worked in a month now.....thus the reason for selling the X) way to remount or replace the stock C model speedo?
Signed...one armed man at the end of my rope with a bad case of crabs.

1. Remove the speedo housing and bars
2. loosen the risers
3. turn the risers 180 degrees
4. re-attach the speedo housing and bars

See pics below

Yep. That looks like ass in a hat. Can you even see the speedometer?

How about turning the speedo bucket around? That way the speedo will be above the bars instead of below.
We only did that cause his new bars weren't in yet. I did his major service and 6 degree tree's. This got him home, the next week he got new bars and installed them himself. Sometimes you gots to do what you gots to do

That's friggin....

GOOFY. I mounted the upper half of the riser (with the speedo upside down) inverse and it works just fine. Just gotta get used to reading your speed differently.
Bike is up for sale.....$9500... (5k in custon and billet parts in the last year)
