The six of us made it to Rapid City without incident 2180 miles. Beth and I, Walt and Ilona, Tim and Linda. We only had a few spots of rain, just missed a few big storms. stopped at the American pickers place in Leclaire Iowa on the Mississippi. Stole some rocks on the banks of the Missouri River. Stopped at the corn Palace and then Wall drug. Had to pick up the pace as we were coming into Rapid City with a big hail storm coming in. We pulled into the parking lot just as the rain started got all unloaded put a cover on the bike within the wind picked up so bad to cover wouldn't stay on had to go out in the middle of it and take it off before shredded it. Then the hail started but didn't get too bad here as you can see in the pic 45 minutes south of us got slammed.

It was mid 90s when we first got here dropped down into the 70s that day, looks like mid 80s to low 90s the rest of the week. Barely a cloud in the sky yesterday. 70° right now at 8 AM

I'd be jealous if I wasn't saddle soar...

Looks like you all are having a great time, including what must be a bit of the old the Deja-Vu for Ilona and Walt from their last trip. How about a group shot with everyone in it? Be safe out there... fortunately the worst cagers are mostly back east. Keep the pics and posts coming... glad you are all having a great time... AWESOME pics so far! Mike, when you get back you are going to have to tell me how you get full size pics up on the posts without a thumbnail. Soon as I decompress some more I'll put up some of my pics from the southwest. Got home safe last Thursday! Hope you all continue to have a great ride the rest of the way and return home safe and sound.

Travel day, 400 miles from Rapid city to Cody Wyoming over the big horn mountain range, but still some amazing scenery

Beth finished off a pitcher of mudslides that the bartender gave her... I think he liked her. We chatted with a couple from Portsmouth that sat beside us.

What an amazing trip. Thanks for all of the pictures. I've shown many of them to Karen. She and I are so jealous. We're living the trip through you. Stay safe.

I have now learned how you got the bike in your truck. Be careful with those wooden "foot" ramps. I assume that you need to back against something hilly to reduce the angle so that the bike frame doesn't bottom out on the tailgate. Cool.
