New Ride

Welp ... I pulled the trigger. She's mine now!

Having some goodies added on so should be ready to ride in a week or two.

That gives me some time to organize the garage to make room for it.

Adding these slipons

And this fairing;

And I'm ditching the seat for a Harley Sundowner seat. And I cannot wait to get that heat shield off and black that out. Other than that, it will likely stay like this for a while. Well, until the addiction takes over ... LOL

That'll be a very nice cruiser once you complete the black out, congratulations on your new ride.
I, on the other hand, decided to stay with Honda since my VTX has been such a trouble free ride for the past 120k Km. It it supposed to be here in a couple weeks and I'm chomping at the bit to do some touring on it. The only add-ons will be rider backrest, inner saddlebag totes, rear luggage rack and a main stand. Like you, that will be it for a while until...

I like the gold/brass looking pipes on that bike. Really slick!

I like the goldwing, too. It finally doesn't look like "grandpa's bike". You gotta keep us updated on both!

That is sharp? Nice accents. Brother, that is an all day bike if ever there was one. Many happy miles to be had.

Yeah, I have to say I did love my center stands on my Road Glide and Ultra! Made washing and waxing a breeze

SWEET! If circumstances and life were a little different, and I sell my VTX, and was in the market for another ride, that would be what I'd go for.

@Chicago-Spike
I bought the bike at Calgary HD and you came up in conversation .. LOL
Those are the stories management at these dealers love to hear. They said it's a privilege to help travelers in need and are proud that you've mentioned it.

That is a Fat Bob. I was deciding between a Fat Boy and the Fat Bob. I already have a touring rig so I went with something a bit sporty. I also looked at the Sportster S, but it was a bit small for me. Not sorry at all, I like the big twins.

120 ft/lbs torque should keep it interesting for a while :) (y)

Is it illegal to have a side-mounted license plate in Canada? The ad for the Fatbob in the US shows a side-mounted plate in a horizontal placement. What is the redline on the bike? I wonder how it would run compared to the M109R or the V-Rod, which redline at 7,500 RPM and 9,000 RPM respectively?
