Hi i bought a 1300S 2007 and want to know if you can point me in the right direction. I like the wide tire look but want to keep the spokes. I see alot on the 240 kit but nothing larger? is there a larger kit? I can handle the mods to the factory swing arm for the 240 but would like larger. I want to keep the rear fender look and ride 2up alot. I would like an air suspension. and to increase the rake on the forks. cobra long pipes. and lots of chrome. polished fins.

can i get a wider spoke wheel or is there some where you might recomend to change mine up.

300 kit?

anyone with the 240 on a S/R model with the S/R fender?

Clocking the front fender after tripple tree and extended forks to keep hings lined up.

good seat for 2up riding some recomendations please

Thanks
Trenton

Yes you can get a wider laced wheel done for you

Not really a kit as not just the swingarm needs mods, you need a second u-joint in there to get the driveshaft around the wheel

The stock fender will not fit around the 240 wheel

If you go with a 240 kit or above, you will be severely limited for seats. You will have to get teh seat that is made for the fender kit you choose. If you do a lot of 2-up and stay with the stock fenders, you should try Ultimate Seats.

This is the NEW VTXOA Garage, a sister site to this message board and contains all your How-to/Tips/Tricks/Why’s and links to other helpful sites for your new VTX. http://www.bareasschoppers.com/ A fellow VTX Riders site that has many write-ups on “How-To” do work on the VTX. Also, for you 1300 guys http://vtx1300tips.com/VTX1300TIPS.htm another fellow VTX Riders site.

There is also a helpful Search icon in the users Toolbar just under the VTXOwners Association banner
Click the “Search” drop down and select “Advanced Search”

Now, enter your keywords and select a single forum to search in

Select 1, and only 1 "Forum" to search in at a time, or at all.
For example, "Best airbox" I would only search in the "1800 Tech Board"

That's the basic way, you can limit further by using some of the other "Drop-Down" menu's like if you know the thread you are looking for is only a week or so old, etc....

The purpose of the "Search" is to offer a member the opportunity to research his/her question better. There is so much information from past threads that you may never see because that member is no longer here, or doesn't see your new post, or just won't respond to the same question. So use it to your advantage and enjoy the board! View this funny and informative film about posting and searching…

Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the forum. At the top of every board there are threads that are tagged as "Sticky" These threads are "Sticky" because they contain very important/valuable information about the VTX and everyone should read them.
The thread at the top of the 1800 tech board called, "Air, Fuel, Motors..." will answer most of the performance questions...

well you can sqeeze a 250 with some mods on the 240 kit.as far as the rest goes,I went rigid so the fender hugs the tire,I didn't want that 1 1/2 gap between the tire and fender.sumo-x kit offers 1.5 seat. good luck on whatever you choose.
:agree: Sumo-X, I Love that Retro fender

I'm pushing right at about 67 HP with a 240 and can spin the 240 thru 1st in to second. Can't really say I lost HP. As for as maintenance, the tire cost more to replace and you have to pull the final drive to remove the rear wheel.
