I have been reading about VTX no longer top bike. Oh look new ones are cooler. How I am going to get parts in the future?

I have my 1800 for one reason and one only, I have it for me,,,I will keep until I die. HD sucks and all else falls to the wayside, Yea I have put thousands into it since I bought it in 02. Yeah there will be faster bikes down the road. Hell look at the new Victory Vision. It may look sad,,,but likely the way bike will go in the future. BUT I will treasure my 1800 until I have to have my wheelchair wheeled up to it so I can give her a shine. The ONLY other bike I will likely buy in the near future will be new Goldwing. Other than that,,,,will feel proud as I drive my baby to the next meet...........

It's a great bike. I didn't buy it hoping I could flip it next year for a profit. I bought it cause I liked it. It was faster, cheaper, prettier, and easier to maintain than any Harley ... a bigger bang for the buck. I may sell it years down the road when it gets old and I want something new, or maybe not. In the meantime I'm enjoying mine, riding, and getting lots of compliments.

Are you keeping your girl then bro? I hope so, you have a very nice and different bike, and it stands out as one of the top 10 bikes I have seen on this board bro.

For Me to have some of these parts made, theres no way... Wish I could, but ... As for keeping Her, Yes I want to, BUT if I am stuck were I'm at, I may consider Parting it out and starting over with a different bike..
To hard to sell mine the way it is now, Like it been said, U can buy a NEW bike for allot less and make it your own..

Hey bro, anytime, and it was ment. I know there will be a time, I cant go forward anymore, I hope at that time I can keep this one, and start another, I have to much blood in this bike to let it go, its the first bike I ever had that got personal to me. Be safe have fun, life is short.

I agree with all. Not to put down other bikes, but when I was looking for a bike last year, my "classic" is the only one IMO that truly had a classic look that I knew I would be happy with into my senior years. I may (I hope) have other bikes in the future, but I don't ever see myself parting with my baby 8)

I love my VTX and I have "Met the nicest people on my Honda VTX". I have had mine for 2 years. I've done a lot of cosmetic things to it and I just put a pcIII on... I wish I had doen that first. Next are the pipes and breather. I have riden a lot of bikes and this is one that I still have goose bumps when I look at it and even more when I ride it. Bury me with mine.

That being said I'm curious about these new 3 wheelers fro Can Am... I think that's the same company that makes Ski Doo etc. My 60 year old Honda mechanic rode one at a show this spring and he thinks this is going to be big thing. He said they handle like a sports car and have the power of a crotch rocket. and are pretty comfortable for touring etc.
We'll see.
