I noticed when I’m cruising around 45-50mph in 3rd gear (in the power band but not redlined) I get a weird vibration feeling in the handlebars. When I shift to 4th it goes away. When I slow down it goes away.
Any thoughts?

aka, Big V-Twins... all brands..

as stated above. .. That's the nature of this big beast

remember,, the 1800 has a counter-balancer in the engine/transmission.. think what it would feel like without it.

most V-twins do not have one.

my advice,, go test ride a 6 cylinder Gold Wing... reason they are still at the top of Touring world.

a little reading... on what you have......

There are many sources of vibration.
My 1300 has a peak at 52 MPH in 5th.
With stock exhaust no peak noticed, with jc whitney mufflers it was horrendous, with HK it is there but not bad.

Metz ME888 tires caused a buzz at 27-28 mph on de-cel, buzz was from rear shock covers.

I had a major vibe in right handlebar grip for one summer, right hand got numb. Never happened again.

State of tune can affect vibes, lean/rich.

Is this new?? Do the Ground fix, tighten battery cables.
Check vacuum hoses. Cracks/splits will lean the A/F.
