Speaking of questions... if I ever decide to paint the 1300R, do I need to buy a metal fender? Paint over the plastic one? Gotta be an easy answer to that. Maybe come up w/ a matching/contrasting color scheme & leave it stock? anyone??

My painter painted the plastic sidecovers on mine, so I see no reason to buy a metal one.

The answer to your question IS an easy one----There is NO problem painting the "plastic" fenders on the 1300 (I usualy add a flexative to the paint), be sure to use a good epoxy primer and then GO for it.

Speaking of painting,,, anyone here painting for money. My 1300 is looking a bit "used" Just want to keep it black, nothing fancy. Just a nice jet black shiney bike again.
