Calling all WIVO / Patriot Guard Riders. This Sunday, July 1 the PGR will ride to our very own Monster's step daughter's wedding in Lake Villa. Check out the post on the Patriot Guard web site. Look at "ALL FORUMS" then under "SPECIAL EVENTS" hope you all can make it. After the church we will provide an escort up to Kenosha for the reception. Should be a blast and good weather.

With JonD as the Ride Captain how can anyone say no to a fellow X'r???

We'll try to be there.

On another note Fridays PGR escort was one of the best we have been on to date.

The support shown along the route was incredible.

Fire Trucks in the escort, on almost every overpass, along the sides of the road......at least 2 helicopters (news of course), all of the people that made signs and stood along the entire route.

And then of course there were the 2 planes buzzing us down 47........

Gotta love small town America.

Hope to see a bunch of you Sunday.

**********MISSION ANNOUNCEMENT*******

The PGR has been requested to provide a Flag Line and Escort in honor of the wedding of US Army Reserve Specialist Nicholus Shaffer to Amy Bailey.

Amy is the daughter of our very own, Ken ‘Monster’ Wade. Ken is a Vietnam Vet (Ranger).

Nick is recently home from 2 tours in Iraq where he served with the 101st ABN. Nick is assigned to the 88th transportation unit based out of Milwaukee.

Please come out and help us celebrate!

Date: Sunday, July 1, 2007

Staging: 2:30 PM

Location: Chain O Lakes Church
43 W Grass Lake Rd.
Lake Villa, IL
(East of IL-83 on Grass Lake Rd, south side of the street)

Staging information:

We will meet at the rear of the parking lot of the Church. There is plenty of parking so no excuses! We will have a short ride brief and then set up a flag line to welcome the guests to the Church – service is scheduled to start at 3:30 pm.

During the ceremony, we will stand down. After the ceremony we will again stand the flag line as the Bride/Groom and guests leave the church. We will then quickly pack away the flags into the support vehicle, saddle up and escort the newlyweds to their reception hall in Kenosha, WI.

Reception hall:

Parkway Chateau
12304 75th St (WI-50)
Kenosha, WI
(Next to the Brat Stop)

We will not be taking any Interstates. Our route will take us West on Grass Lake Rd. to IL-83 North (which becomes WI-83) to WI-50 East to the reception hall. Our WI PGR will meet us with a flag line at the reception hall. This should be a fun event for all.
