The Power Commander web site show a different selection of maps for newer bikes (2002 vs 2006), so I'd have to say the safe answer is 'no'. In fact, the PC-III itself is even a different part number for different year VTXs. I'm not sure what is different between the bikes, but obviously something is.

I would have to think not as well, I dont even think the sofware will allow you to load the map of the 06 into the PC, I think you are going to get a error mesage when you hit the send button. I think that you will have to use maps that start with the prefix 109, designed for the model you have (109-411) where as the newer maps for the 06's will use the prefix 122, which have the model (122-411). If the map loads into the PC then I think you should be fine, but I dont think it will. I ran into this issue when trying to intall a map into my 04 retro, which also use the 122 series PC.

The beauty of the PCIII USB is that you can change maps at will. Install the map in question, ride around on it for a while, and if you don't like go back to you old map or try out another map.
