It's amazing they found one at a bike wreckers. Imo the pipe looks stock to me. It looks about the same length as a stock 1800c pipe with a stock tip. The extra sound may come from an altered baffle. Nice bike! I love the paint scheme

It could also be a shortened, modified muffler from www.vtxexhaust.com.

Here's the 1800C stock length (goes past the rear wheel).

I reckon your on the money mate. I had an original here a friend gave me & I threw in the back of the shed. Just dug it out & they are the same pipe except the one on my bike is shortened & appears to have a baffle mod from looking up it.

One of the Texas X Riders in our Houston group had one on his 1800...one of the best sounding exhausts for the 1800. Hang on to it, 'cause RH has been out of business for over a decade now.
I have one on my '02 as I said and it's been on it since '04. I also have a brand new one I've never used because when the first one was delivered it had a very small dent on it. It is where you wouldn't be able to see it after installation, but I pitched a fit and they sent me another one free of charge and didn't want the first one back. I wiped the dented one down with lubricant and wrapped it in cheese cloth to preserve it just in case I messed up the one I installed. It's still in my shop.

Cheers, I bought the bike from a shop & the bike was traded with an ugly loud pipe (their words) that would not pass a road worthy certificate so the shop bought this pipe at a bike wreckers & put it on. I’d always wondered
Easy way to tell is the stock pipe reaches to a little past the back of the tire. The shorty only reaches the back of the brake rotor maybe a quarter to half inch past it. I don't know the exact measurement, but approximately 4 to 5 inches or more shorter than stock.

I bought it just like this about 5 days ago. It's an 09 with 12,000 miles. This bike is gonna be fun. It's actually big enough that a bagger kit doesn't look goofy. I'm looking for performance mods right now. What's the best carb for these things?

This is Eve! Purchased last year on New Years Eve, hence her name. I love her just the way she is, no modifications. None necessary.

basic 2006 VTX 1800N. All I have done is with my fellow VTX buddy XBeast was to put a K&N air filter on, put some spacers on the cover to allow more air into it. Runs great.
