Hi guys my pipes are running really hot I have a 05 vtx1300c with cobra pipes stock air box and stock jetting I was told I did not need to rejet because I didn't change the air box.will this hurt the bikes motor or will it be ok since it is a liquid cooled bike. It is getting hot enough to melt the plastic cover near the pipes. And will messing with my A/f screw help me here or not.

I have a 05 1300C, stock airbox, HK32.5 pipes and stock jets.
A/F is low speed circuit.
You need at least 3/8" clearance from the pipes to cover.
Sometimes excess fuel will burn in the pipe and it can be glowing.
If you had no ignition on one cylinder or excessive fuel due to a float needle,
the exhaust crossover could light a fire from the good cylinder..
Figure out which scenario is most likely.
