I'm assuming you mean switch from odo to trip odo.

Never heard this one before...could be bad switch button, broken wire somewhere, or something wrong with the odo circuitry itself...my guess is it's one of the first two. Could be a bear to find, a wiring diagram would help if you have the service manual. Use a tester to check the switch once you have the wires traced and do a continuity check on all the wires. Hope this helps.

The guy I bought my 03 R had this problem. He had pulled the switch out and cleaned it, but not put it back in. I popped it back in within 30 minutes and have not had a problem since. Probably just dirty contacts in the switch. You can get a momentary switch from Radio Shack to see for sure that it is the switch, or drop by the stealer and get a replacement switch and put it in. I think yours makes about 5 that I have seen on the mother of all boards.

I assume you have an R model? They are notorious for this. You can order a new switch from HDL for about $5 and swap it yourself in 5 minutes. :wink:

yup same problem here with mine last year got better this year now its stuck 14$ for button and switch both shipped from hal. Ups has it now so god willing they wont loose it like my last 2 tires they did lol.
