I copied the webpage and made a PDF to preserve this information in case Rattlebars web site ever goes dark.
They have a lot of information available. Relays are a popular topic.
All credit goes to Chet Walters of Rattlebars MFG. They closed shop a few years ago.

Hans, I appreciate the info, but as I said, there is lots of starter switch info, but nothing on the kill switch, but I will keep looking.

Some people are fearful of using the Kill switch.
I operate mine frequently.
Switch contacts wiping action rubs off oxidation.

Extremely rare to have a Kill switch fail.
1300 Kill switch provides +12v to the IGN coils and to the Starter Switch.

1800 Kill switch is the +12v trigger for the Engine Stop Relay and feeds +12v to the Starter Switch.

Is it good to spray WD40 into the starter switch every couple years?
How about the turn signal switch? Good preventative maintenance or not?
Take it apart and do a proper clean & lube every few years.
Arizona - fine dirt/sand can get inside, clean every 2 - 4 years.
Look at the pix on my switches. Ugly on my TS.....

The TS has mechanical return to center, wd40 might give you more time.

The guts are in a snap together box, you may get some spray inside.

Several people have broken the lever because it was difficult to operate.
