2003 1800R . When I'm cruising down a road (especially a side street which tend to have a few more bumps in my area) there is a rattling sound coming from somewhere in the rear. Any one else , what is it???????
I know someone that was hearing this wierd noise thinking he had a coat hanger dragging once in awhile. All along it was the keys hitting the cover. Or could be a bearing going out in the rear hub or final drive.
Unknown? Without actually seeing your bike and going over every fastener and piece to find the rattle, this would be hard to troubleshoot over the wire. Start going over every bolt/nut/screw and you'll eventually find it. 8)
I got my new NY plate sticker...when I applied it I found it was the licence plate rattleing...1 of the bolts wasn't tight enough...tightened bolts and all is well
I was searching around today and think i may have found the culprit. That crappy lock on the tool kit box came loose and my tools were almost falling out into the side cover. Not sure if that's it yet.
