You'll get a better response if you provide more details. Obviously riders aren't going to meet up with you for the ride if they have to commute for hours and hours just to get to the starting point. The presumption is that you're in California, but where?

Where is the starting point for the ride?
What month and day of the week will the ride be?

Just curious, as I'm 3K mi. away in Pa. : Is the observatory @ Mt. Palomar still in operation? In my younger years, I was into astronomy and always thought I might one day go there.
