Everything was going great today, bike was riding the best it ever has and then the day took a crap turn. It started off with me noticing when I got on it, it would halfway die out and then come back to life and take off. So I just rode nice and easy. Once I got on the highway it will not hold constant rpms at all. It takes off for a few seconds and then it acts like the fuel shut off for a couple seconds and continues like this. I have checked the vent line and fuel return line and they are fine and not kinked. I am thinking I lost my fuel pump. No way to really tell because the fuel pump primes and the bike starts and idles and revs just fine but when you start going down the road it shows up on everything past idle. Fingers crossed it’s not anything serious. No weird sounds or anything so that’s good

What mods or add-ons???
Loose battery cable?? A common issue...

Check the Ground wires.. Ground Fix has the info..

I have done the ground fix and will be checking the battery cables and have recently replaced the fpr. I have the power commander 5 but that’s not the issue. The pcv it’s self isn’t throwing any codes and everything works as it should. No vacuum leaks either

Look at this. A few 1800 every year have this.

PC5 Grey wire still clamps onto the TPS wire.
The highest problem associated with PC3 was the clip-on wire / vampire clip..
Look at it... Best thing is a solder connection..,.

Just checked the plug and still looks good, zero issues there

You said it is running like crap, did you crap in the carburetor? I heard that works.
A blonde pushes her BMW into a gas station. She tells the mechanic it died.
After he works on it for a few minutes, it is idling smoothly. She says,
"What's the story?" He replies, "Just crap in the carburetor" She asks, "How
often do I have to do that?"

Crankshaft position sensor??? aka Ignition Pulse Generator, another connector.

Sometimes it is best to restore to stock...

Keep looking.

Make some voltage checks.
Black/White wire on Engine Stop Relay feeds +12v to entire FI system.

I have changed the cps sensor but have the other one and can try that after the other options for diagnosis. Just about to dive into it. No problem about the joke :) it was needed. Have gotten to worked up over this bike the past few months and needed a light side of it :)

CPS - Camshaft Position Sensor??
CMP in Honda manual.
Check connection.

Crankshaft position sensor has a comnector to PC5. A note about not pinching wire on installation instructions...

Yea I meant cam position sensor. Will check the crank sensor and wiring as well thank you for the info

It is fixed. Changed out the fuel pump and checked the battery cables took it to a ride and it’s back to being a rocket. Everything checked out like it was supposed to be

One cost many$$$$, one cost 15 minutes, which fixed it????
