The 0000 steel wool has worked for me on most areas, but on the brake and clutch elbow connectors at the handle bars not so much. I was going to get a more coarse steel wool, but thought first to ask if anyone has a good tip. thanks.

once it starts... no stopping it... only slow it down.


paint or replace.

Actually, the slightly more coarce steel wool worked like a charm.

and at the same time.. you removed 50 percent of the chrome plating...


you will see in a few weeks/months...



53 years dealing with chrome.. bikes and cars.

Spur of the moment ride down to Sierra Vista and Ft. Huachuca. Forgot to call but it looked like you were having fun with your steel wool.

Man this weather is getting nice in the a.m.

In 13 years my bikes maybe been rained on 3 times....gets washed once a year....stays in a garage covered....and still gets rust in nooks and crannies, but nuttin major....:thumbup:

I'm sure you know your chrome Chuck, but just about 7 yrs I've been using 0000 wool and it looks great to me. I don't rub it real hard. Maybe I am not as observant? Or maybe it will take another 7 yrs to show up!
