OK....July 21st Ride followed by BBQ at my place!

9am - Breakfast at Shari's Restaurant, 11335 NE Airport Way, Portland - Just off I-205...Exit 24B & go right on Airport Way.

10-10:30 (or so) - Leave Shari's & go up I-205 to HWY 14 East through Carson, up Wind River Road & loop back around to SR503...cut south at Jack's & down through Amboy -> Battlegound and on down to my place.

That should put us at my place around 3:30-4 for burgers, dogs, etc.
I'll supply the eats & n-a beverages...Poker anyone?

Let me know if you're going to make it & if you're bringing anyone so I can get a head count for the food. Of course, if you can't make the ride but still want to show for the BBQ, that's fine.

My address is 921 NW 119th St in Vancouver. My cell # is 503-804-4375.

Cheers!

Invitation excepted...

Gentlemen, this is my first post on this board. I'm the Milwaukie newbee. See you on Sat. for breakfast! I bought a 2006 VTX 1300S in early May. Candy black cherry. Been riding for 40 years, but not much for the past 15. I have 1300 miles on the new bike, and I've been waiting to hook up with local brothers. Waiting... because I didn't want to make a fool of myself if, perhaps, the old skills had atrophied to the point where I was a drag. I'm happy to report that I can still hold a conversation, tell stories and lies, up to the standard of my youth. As for my skill on the VTX... See you soon! This is a great route and I have a feeling I'm going to meet some fine people. Outstanding.

VTXRay Welcome you have chosen a great bike and web board.
Secondly, I think My Daughter and I will have a father daughter day and join you all.
I live out in Battleground and there is a little known road just before Lucia Falls that I may want all of us to turn on to on our way towards Battleground, its deffinatly a road that the grin will be as big as it gets. The road dumps us out at Heissen, Gattleground Lake area. That is if it fits into the plan.

I'll still be out there for anyone who wants to give it a go...no hard feelin's if you don't!

Worse come to worst....I'll have my own little :tools1: :beer3: & put on the 6* trees :pepper1: that have been sitting in my garage :D

After 8am tomorrow, you can reach me on my cell 503-804-4375 or e-mail to my BlackBerry: [email protected]

We're supposed to be between storms tomorrow, so hopefully any wet stuff will be light.

wimp

OK, I wimped out this time. I'm mostly a sunshine rider. Right now it's raining at my place and not sorry to be high and dry. But don't think that we're never going to meet. It's just a matter of time...

No worries....

At least I know Hobbs & I didn't leave anyone behind :D

The weather may have put a damper on the turnout, but not on the ride.

We had 2 VTX, 2 Harleys & 1 Ducati...only got drizzled on for a little while; nothing to make you wish you rain gear. Roads were a bit soggy up in the hills, so we took it easy in the twisties (and there's some nice ones on that route).

Detoured off on Washougal River Road, which is a nice ride....

Well....I think I'll go install those trees now....maybe.
