I'm sure we would all be well into retirement right now if you got $1 for every time the question of "what's the best oil"
Is there any Data (not opinions or experiences) to corroborate anyone's claim to any brand?
I know there's gonna a few peeps saying they got over half a million miles on a certain brand and that's great, but I have not been able to find any impartial evidence of anything.
It seems that the vast majority of any motor oil threads are somehow market driven with little to no impartial scientific data.

Like most I have my favorite brands. But, I would not hesitate to use any 'name' brand that was the correct viscosity.

I have no idea the exact test that would be performed hence why I'm asking.
Aside from people's anecdotal experience I have yet to see anything scientific with respect to any oil that has ever been put in any VTX

A member on the Cafe, Indy X, has periodically sent his oil out for testing. Contact him over there. He'll answer your questions. He had concerns about his new Vic Cross-Tour and engine wear.

Go over to Bob is the oil guy and browse the used oil analysis section.
Even the you may get some conflicting info but its at least a bit more technical than a seat of tge pants feeling.
