We meet at Joe's Crab Shack and run into a few other members from Memphis. We admire each other's scoots and have a few drinks while we talk about the dependability of a Honda. (I think I remember someone saying, "if Honda ever starts building houses, I'm buying one because what they make is usually very dependable")
So Toasted and I break camp and blast down the big road toward downtown. When we take the off ramp, near the river, Toasted pulls next to me and says, "hey man, my clutch cable broke!" (damn 1300s)
I tell him to wait till I can get out and block traffic. Then, when I waive at him, he should fire her up, make the turn, and hit the sidewalk. This goes as planned and we soon find that the clutch cable didn't break, but somehow came out of the retainer on the transmission housing  .
Toasted slipped the cable end back in and we were off toward Beale St. again!
Damn Hondas
And we finally made it!
