When I went to my local Honda shop and said I had a VTX the guy asked what’s that…we have a Harley shop here. The last time I took it to them the tank was leaning, and the bike would not start so I had to wait till they fixed those things while I waited…when I ride I push this bike harder then I should so I want someone that knows it to work on it.. it’s been sitting for two years..the front fork seals are leaking, I want all the fluids changed, it needs a rear tire (the valve stem cracked and tire went flat and cracked) it does run good. My problem is I don’t have the tools to do the work. I think I can take the forks off and get the tire off…300 miles it not far, I have family in New Orleans that’s about 300 miles…what would you charge to do the forks if I bring them and the tire??

Well honestly I am just getting started. I still have a lot to learn. H and W Power Sports in Texarkana is Honda dealership. They know VTX bikes pretty well. As far as the rear tire. They quoted me $75 on the bike $35 off the bike. I mounted both tires and balanced them on a 2006 VTX 1300R. Without any problems. But when I tried on the 2006 1800R I am working on now.... Wow! Lots of problems! I got the front tire on but had to take the rear to a tire shop.

Look on YouTube for the 1300 fork repair. I watched a couple and dug in. Wasn't difficult but had to make my own fork seal driver just like the video creators did. Tire removal not bad, either. Once off you can have almost any shop mount and balance.
