I'm sure they have been tried. FWIW, after all the tries with other plugs, it's been proven that the Honda OEM Iridium plugs are as good performance wise and last for 100K.

I've found the VTX1800 runs absolutely best on the stock NGK iriduim spark plugs. They should last you 100,000 miles and offer little, in the way of room for improvement. I have not tried the E3 plugs, but it is a commonly accepted fact that such gimmick spark plugs do little or nothing in the way of improving either mileage or performance. They will not last as long as the OEM iriduim plugs. That is certain. While their warranty is 100,000 miles, it is limited to 5 years. Bet they don't replace a lot of them under warranty.

Thx. I try that plug.
I don't have the specific plug # but I'm sure someone else will be along to give you that info. If it isn't in the service manual.
