In 5th? Should go 110-120(Indicated) before the rev-limiter kicks on.

Unless it has an 188FD on it.

:popcorn: what's everyone's sudden interest in top speed? Do you plan to ride at 120mph? What's going fast prove other then your too stupid to know the consequences of your actions?

to the board, yea i asked the same question last week most seem to agree on about 115--120 way fast enough for me

I've had mine to about 107 or so, indicated.... way too fast, truth be told. The thing I recall though, is my "X" feels about a thousand times safer, more solidly planted, at that speed then any car/truck I've ever owned did!:shock:

My GPS Said 109. This was in South Dakota on a very flat 5 mile stretch running North off the highway about 10 miles east of WALL Drug. I got off an exit to get gas.

I never looked at the indicated speed. I assume it would have said around 116, since my speedo is about 7% off most days...

Honestly I felt the bike had more to give handling-wise.

Again it was a very flat road, in very hot dry conditions.

PS - I was one-up and it felt like it took a minute to go from 103 to 109....

Were you on the interstate east of Wall (not Wall Drug; my hometown just had to give a little crap).

Wall Drug is in Wall, crapper...:joke: so it's still accurate! actually i think it was much more east of Wall...Pretty sure it was the road to Phillip, about 35 miles before wall (and Wall drug :p)
