I've got a 2005 1300C and have recently noticed that it starts sputtering at low rpms, once I get it up to 2500-3000 range it smoothes out. I've checked the plugs and they seem to be ok, don't look to be fouled. Anybody have this problem or have suggestions how to trouble shoot this issue?

Are there any modifications to the bike (ie: air intake, exhaust, etc.)? Has the bike been sitting long? If so, I know mine will be kinda cranky at lower RPM, until I get up through the gears once. If it does it all the time, it sounds like you may just need a mixture adjustment.

Need more info...

Setup?
Changes?

Is it falling on it's face, or just a little flat?

CV carbs do not like full throttle at low rpm. That's called bogging your engine!

If the performance is better with the choke partly pulled out, the issue is almost certainly an air/fuel issue but the correction depends on what is stock and what is not. If the choke doesn't help, you may have other issues ranging from bad plugs to bad fuel to electrical faults.

A few more details will help narrow it down.
