It's been about 6-8 weeks since I joined here and sent a flurry of posts to the board. In the meantime, I've been through the bike thoroughly. Valves, carb, plugs, cleaned up some PO messes. I commute 90 miles round trip. Not much more than a Saturday afternoon outing. Mine is an R than thinks its a T. The PO installed what I believe are Memphis Shades Bat Wing fairing , shin wind deflectors that mount to the forks, crash bars, a luggage rack, and viking hard top bags. I have installed a driver back rest. This bike is such a pleasure to ride! My '81 750c was and still is a blast, it's beefed up some and runs like a scalded cat, but this one is a completely different animal. I see many thousands of miles on this one. Thanks to all admins and contributors. Too much fun.

In one of the pics of "Blue" look at the right throttle grip. What kind of grip is this? There's a palm pad that I've grown to like quite a bit. Maybe you guys can tell, I love me a Honda.

I have restored many gen 1, CB750... 1970 to 1977,,, even a few automatics..
I had a New 72 CB750... 72 to 75 then got a 75 goldwing ( I got Married )

2012 I got a 72 CB750 that was parked in 1979 with 21,000 miles and I restored it for myself..
I did not like it anymore... my VTX was much better in so many ways. and sold the 750

Great pic! I still like my old DOHC air cooled I-4. It'll still set ya back in the seat. Numerous performance mods. Too many to mention. 77 Hp at 9K rpms stock. I'm guessing mine's up around 80. Nostalgia I guess. When I was a kid, those things were still considered super bikes. But this 1300 R. Unbelievable. I bought mine with 25K on the clock. I've put a little over 1000 miles on it and have enjoyed every one of them. The 750 would beat on ya some on longer rides. The VTX is such a comfortable ride. I like everything about it so far, I do enjoy the way it lays into a corner. The 750 kinda fell in, this one lays in. It looks like another Honda vtwin convert has made it into the modern cycling era.
