I will be at Sturgis also. I will be arriving there on the 6th to hopefully find a good camping site. People in the know state they get there earlier like the 3rd or 4th…..

Sorry to miss out as that would of made a nice weekend ride. Used to go over to Coeur d'Alene years ago cause a band I knew played over there. Made for a nice weekend getaway.

Just too close to Sturgis 2005 to go this year. Maybe next…

Cruizer.........

Not intending to burst your bubble, but Robzilla is right. According to Mapquest, Post Falls to Sturgis is listed at 12 hours, 13 minutes. Now................with a little "exceeding of the speed limit", you'll be in Sturgis in less thaan 12 hours. By the way, the milage is listed at 860.7 miles, give or take.............

Didn't burst my bubble, just going to be at Sturgis on the 6th. Even with a VTX and a little bit of speed I can't be in both places at the same time.

I’ve been plannin' my first trip to Sturgis for awhile now and most of the people that I have talked to, and that have stayed at Buffalo Chip’s before, stated that good spots at Chip’s campgrounds go fast and really need to get there on the 4th or 5th if not earlier (camping in the shaded tree area, close to the concerts, etc). I want to try getting a better than average camping spot at the Chip’s so I don’t want to get there later than the 6th. Already paid the bucks for the camping/concerts and some food. I’m taking 13 days off and going to be out for 19 days. No real plans after Sturgis but don’t have to be back home till 8/21.

The laser light show and the band Shinedown starts on Friday, 8/5. Tim McGraw is on Sunday 8/7. From then on it’s a party every night.

Getting over to Idaho is a nice weekend trip and would like to be there to enjoy the get together… but plans have been set already. Sounds like the Roar 2005 would be great fun. Maybe The Roar 2006 will be the one I make!

Next year,
Gary
