Do we need to lubricate out throttle cables? If so , how do you remove them from the bars or where ever they are attached to lub them?:dontknow::dontknow:

U can unbolt the switch housing and spay some lubricant down the cable..

How about resurrecting an old thread :)


What type of lubricant should I use? The throttle's getting a bit tough....

I use graphite. Harley sells a bottle with a long needle on it that fits into the cable end. Other lubes are available at bike shops. Put a rag under the cable ends at the throttle bell to catch excess lube then squirt lube into cables at throttle until it runs out the other end. Let it dry then ride.
