Smartphone in your hand vs one on the handlebar makes it difficult to hit the right spot.
My phone did not respond well with my leather gloves.
When Apps are stacked it is difficult to close one app, easier to close all.
Also if you lose cell service you are sol.

Back to my old Street Pilot from 2006 while searching for a new GPS.

A very short video. Looks like a power filter needed or it was vibration.

Hello Chuck, I did not notice you had posted here.
My Sport Pilot is an early Garmin automobile unit.
They were $100 less than the new Garmin Nuvi 200 which just came out at that time.
I just did some side by side comparisons, the SP is 2 - 3 seconds slower.
I will either keep what I have, possibly install the Nuvi 200 or get something with "Live Traffic".
"Waze" phone app is good but the phone does not respond well to a glove.
Garmin Drive 52 looks to be reasonable.

I really do not need to upgrade unless I want to travel on the Interstate.
My 2012 ride to Texas, I decided to let my GPS guide me after I made it
to Rockdale, TX, that was a mistake.
My GPS showed exit 35 in Austin and when I got there in 2012 it was 35a, b and c.
If I had stayed on my planned route I would never have run into 35a,b,c.
I did see a nice sunset between Bee Cave and Spicewood, west of Austin.
