I did something stupid and removed the pin boot on the rear caliper. I'm trying my darndest to get it back through the hole, while everything is still attached, but not having much luck. Anyone have a good tip to get it back in? It looks like another way it to practically remove the rear tire, or at least move the axle enough to remove the whole caliper.

EDIT: Here is a picture of what I'm talking about.

Can I ride at all without it, until I replace it, or is that a no-no? Mine now has a rip in the end I'm trying to shove through the hole (left end on picture)

I replaced mine when I rebuild the caliper and it went right it. May have been my greasy fingers.

But I would think you could get it back in without removing the wheel. Tho the caliper would have to come off.

Te rubber boot is needed to keep the grease around the pin.
