When you say that do you mean your C has the baffles that came with the Bigshots and you didnt change them to a quieter baffle or did you actually remove the baffle completely? supposedly the Retro has a quieter baffle compared to the C model.vegas12vne said:I've got the Vance and Hines Bigshots on my VTX 1300C without the quiet baffles and I'm pleased with both the volume and the tone.
I bought the Vance and Hines Bigshots from HDL. I ordered the quiet baffles as well; but, I never installed them as I like the sound of the pipes as they came.06vtxxx said:When you say that do you mean your C has the baffles that came with the Bigshots and you didnt change them to a quieter baffle or did you actually remove the baffle completely? supposedly the Retro has a quieter baffle compared to the C model.vegas12vne said:I've got the Vance and Hines Bigshots on my VTX 1300C without the quiet baffles and I'm pleased with both the volume and the tone.
+1 - - - plus all it will sound like is louder - - - not better... the baffles give it back pressure as well as an entirely different note than straight pipes... I have a friend with an 1800 VHBS no baffles and it's a loud sound - - - very blended almost like a 2-1 sound... I've only heard it on mine for a brief moment without baffles... had the stock baffles then took off and went with quiet baffles... the stock baffles are loud and deep... the quiets are deeper but not as loud.... they're growing on me especially for long distance rides...Slappy said:Just a thought, Vance & Hines recomends that either the original baffles or the quiet baffles be installed in the big shots. The Engine needs the back pressure they provide.
