Looks like all the rumours about a new VFR for 2009 were nothing but rumours. Honda did announce a new V4 bike for 2010, but no hints were given as to what type of bike it will be, ie sport bike, cruiser, scooter?
To keep the energy flowing, Honda produced this concept for the Milan show. Again, no hints were given if this is just a concept or something they may actually build. They even built a web site devoted to it. You can check it out here." (end quote) ............... bringing back the magna idea?

Here's a rumor. The new V4 may be the replacement engine for the new Gold Wing. Lighter engine and more horsepower than the current flat 6 cylinder Wing engine. This engine will power a bike lighter than the current Wing and go into a model that merges the ST1300 and Gold Wing.

Focus groups in California were asked their opinions early last year what they thought of some pictures (renderings) of models that looked like a cross between a ST1300 and a Gold Wing.

However, this is just a rumor. Honda is very good at keeping secrets.

Why would Honda us a V4 when their GP bikes are using a V5. Honda is very conservative so using existing tech has a better chance at trickling down to street use.

I was really hoping for a new 1000cc+ Interceptor since the VFR is badly out dated and under powered for its weight.

There are a lot of people who want to see the V-4 magna type engine make a return. (Although, don't forget about the ST1300, which has a longitudinally mounted 90-degree V-4.)

However, there are soooo many rumors floating around out there regarding Honda's 2010 models that it is impossible to get a handle on any of them. The website that is devoted to the prototype v-4 doesn't even belong to Honda. It is owned by someone in Germany. So, the rumors of a new v-4 could be total crap.

I would be surprised if they stuck a V-4 in a new wing. There has been speculation for years about a new wing. Honda developed a v-six cylinder concept wing a number of years ago. Although, it looked more like an ST than a wing.
