What do you mean for placement, Prankster? Thiscame from a 2007 1800 which had an external pump. They are mounted under the battery box, almost directly below the swing arm pivot. Did I answer your question?

Yep, just trying to think. If I have to pull mine. 02, R last ime I started her she acted odd. pluse 21 years old.. Would it be possible to replace with this and where it would mount. Plus I'd get just a tad more fuel in tank.

I think I have seen that kit before. As for your bike, I'm not sure how you would mount it; the external pumps have a bracket with threads as well as mounting with threads for the bracket on the bike. There are YouTube vids out there that take a good look at it.

One thing for sure, make it easier to add aux tank. I am sure it can be done.

I suppose you're right. Should be able to strap it in place under the battery box. Everywhere else is a tight fit!
