''... On Tuesday, the police in Seattle’s Eastern District had initially battled with the rioters, using tear gas and flashbangs. Eventually, recognizing that anything short of a military-style defense was a waste of police time and put police lives at risk, the police abandoned the Eastern Precinct. They shredded important and confidential documents, boarded up the windows, and walked away, leaving the people whom they serve to the mob’s mercy. ...''

Obama received the black vote, then the democrats COMPLETELY ignored them while spending the next eight years pandering to illegals.
Don't forget though, Obama was nothing more than a puppet for the democrats' establishment, which means that regardless of who will occupy the white house if they win, their next president again will be a puppet.
Joe Biden anyone?

I Like This Idea Better...

Let Seattle stew in its own excrement
The news out of Seattle is that Antifa has captured a seven-block area in central Seattle that they've dubbed the Capital Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ for short.

Given the protests (read: riots) across the country over the past two weeks and the feckless (at best) handling of said riots by leftist mayors and governors, that Seattle permitted this to occur is not surprising.

Seattle's Mayor, Jenny Durkan all-but encouraged the takeover of her city when she proclaimed:

Keeping demonstrations peaceful must be a joint effort between our community members and law enforcement. I am hopeful that tonight, with these operational changes, our city can peacefully move forward together.
Of course, these operational changes were "letting these thugs overrun her city and confiscate a seven-block section of the Capital Hill district of Seattle."

Seattle, along with Portland and other hard-left run cities, has long been a cesspool of minimally tepid, if not enthusiastic support for Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

While my friends on social media are clamoring for the president to send in the National Guard and reclaim the city, I believe that a different tack is in order — let the people of Seattle stew in their own excrement. Really.

You see, the challenge in our current debate (which is not really a debate, because whenever facts are presented, the left shuts down dialogue and lobs the ever present term "racist") is that the media have glorified the most heinous of acts in urban centers throughout the country in the name of justice. But it's not about justice. It's about rubbing raw the sores of discontent, as Saul Alinsky asserted in Rules for Radicals. Rubbing these sores, as their tactic goes, energizes the most radical elements of the movement.

Seattle suburbanites have been tacitly down with the struggle, as they have wanted to present their "wokeness" bona fides to their more radical leftist brethren. These woke suburbanites need to be exposed.

Let Antifa have as much land mass as it can acquire through the weekend, invite as many of its brethren to enter the autonomous zone as it wishes, then cordon off their booty and blockade any and all raw materials and supplies from entering the, ahem, zone.

Setup a checkpoint, à la East Berlin, and require any and all those wishing to return to America to pledge allegiance to our Constitution and our flag. Those unwilling to re-enter civil society can remain in the autonomous zone until they come to their senses or perish.

Seattle suburbanites need to be made to suffer for the consequences of their choices at the ballot box.
You want to subvert our Constitution, attempt to run roughshod over civil society? Pay the price.

Seattle's 'Lord of the Flies' Experiment

They call it Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ — a six-block area in downtown Seattle that has been taken over by the radical leftists of antifa, Black Lives Matter, and the John Brown Gun Club. A cardboard sign on the edge of CHAZ reads, “You are now leaving the USA.” Rapper Raz Simone, who appears to have become the self-appointed “police chief,” patrols the area with an AK-47 slung around his shoulders. There have been several reports of Simone assaulting individuals who failed to obey his orders. Former mayoral candidate and hard-left activist Nikkita Oliver has taken leadership of CHAZ, declaring, “[We will] align ourselves with the global struggle that acknowledges [that] the United States plays a role in racialized capitalism. Racialized capitalism is built upon patriarchy, white supremacy, and classism.”

How did this happen? As protests escalated last week, Seattle law enforcement, following the order of Police Chief Carmen Best, abandoned the East Precinct station, allowing the leftist mob to take control. Seattle’s leaders are fearful of running afoul of the anti-police sentiments roiling the country and are essentially at a loss as to how to respond.

As City Journal’s Christopher F. Rufo reports, “The city government has not developed a strategic response to the takeover of Capitol Hill. According to one Seattle police officer with knowledge of internal deliberations, the city’s ‘leadership is in chaos’ and ‘the mayor has made the decision to let a mob of 1,000 people dictate public safety policy for a city of 750,000.’ The officer said that Chief Best had dispatched high-ranking police officials to the autonomous zone to establish a line of communication, but the officials were immediately sent away by armed paramilitaries at the barricades. ‘The tide of public opinion is on the side of the activists and they’re pushing the envelope as far as they can,’ said the officer. ‘It’s not hyperbolic to say the endgame is anarchy.’”

Further complicating the issue is the fact that several Seattle City Council members are supportive of these leftist radicals. Councilwoman Kshama Sawant actively championed CHAZ, calling it a “victory” over “the militarized police force of the political establishment and the capitalist state.”

Meanwhile, Washington’s Democrat Governor Jay Inslee claimed he was entirely unaware of CHAZ, replying when asked by a reporter on Wednesday, “Well, that’s news to me.”

It’s certainly not news to President Donald Trump, who called for law and order and blasted the non-response of Washington state leaders: “Radical Left Governor Jay Inslee and the Mayor of Seattle are being taunted and played at a level that our great Country has never seen before. Take back your city NOW. If you don’t do it, I will. This is not a game. These ugly Anarchists must be stooped [sic] IMMEDIATELY. MOVE FAST!”

These Democrat leaders are playing with fire. Clearly, they’re motivated by political calculations, believing that their feigned support of these anti-police protests and riots will benefit them. However, as the situation is allowed to spiral out of control, how many businesses looted and destroyed, how many assaults, how many lives lost will it take for these feckless politicians, protected behind their personal police details, to act? Trump is correct. This isn’t a game.

Well, he needs to be careful here. If he sends military force to deal with these "poor peaceful protesters", he will be the bad guy and Dumb-ocrats will use it against him.
Though, OTOH, if he does not intervene with force, he will be at fault for not helping "a great city in dire need" and Dumb-ocrats will make him the villain yet again.
So this is a no-win situation for him, no matter what he does.
Sad state of affairs.

It may take something particularly egregious and/or glaringly ridiculous to make enough people to sit up, take notice, and say enough is enough. If the debacle unfolding in Seattle becomes that then it may be worth it. At some point even stupid or brainwashed people should be able to see the non-sensical double standards that the Left is ever more frequently guilty of. And react accordingly.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that if President Trump was to invite BLM leaders to the White House for the start of a real dialogue the Dem Party would cry foul and show their true colors, slamming him and them. Because they would be scared to death of being exposed as the pandering Party of do nothings that they really are.

IMO, since it's a no win situation, Trump may as well do something.
We can worry about the optics later.

Clean 'em out, jail 'em, prosecute them, then send them to prison.

Time for a BIG wake up call.

Surround the area with the troops and put a siege in place. No-one in or out. Wait till they get hungry.
MY thoughts exactly. They want that section? Barricade them in there. They want out? Capitulate. No shots need fired. Except by those inside, because they are oppressed, entitled.

You guys are forgetting, there are normal ppl stuck in there, shopkeepers residents...
I hadn't thought of that. That does complicate matters somewhat. Maybe allow anyone with an address inside the area to exit while everyone who does not gets arrested. Should be over in hours. Tie wraps for restraint are super cheap these days. People who don't have a Seattle address at all, well they should get "special" treatment.
