A grille that spontaneously combusts? Wow.
I know, oddest thing ever. I know I got a special machine, but, come on, how can one top that?
Unless your bike is programmed with Nano-Bots..

You know, I do not have one of them. Might just have to figure that out somehow.
Now I have to go look up the history and traditions of that lil gem.

Someone else has to GIFT it to you for the mojo to work! Anyone.

Yep, I read up on that.
The Gods will smile on me yet, they must be anyway.
Have a 2 dates set aside, getting my knees.
One step at a time.
Much JOY today, lovely weather, with in rights, I may get to put around that block or two.
PEACE
Have a great day..

Okay, went to parts store to get stuff, closed, suv's with heavy subs jammin in parking lot. Go to door, closed, guy cleaning out register, and he gives the kill sign over throat.
Okay, closed. Got it.
Went to another store (still have to go to menards for 3/16 clear hose, 2.99 10 feet).
Built me a ramp set up to get bike up high enough for oil change, and then on lift.
Found out something enlightening. The rails on the backrest/luggage rack, will if you don't have the passenger seat on, leave a very painful reminder on your forehead.
I had to sit for a bit and gather my senses. Haven't seen stars like that since my last car accident.
Time to change the oil.
PEACE
Updating:
Oil change smooth:
In my oil change box, 4 qt. oil, 2 crush washer, one filter, and to my surprise.
BATTERY PARTS:.....
I was happy, I guess one used to get extra parts when buying a battery.
I found 2 long bolts, 2 short bolt, 2 star washers, 2 brass spacer, and 2 block nuts. (they filled the hole, not like the half ones with battery).
So, this was a joyful find, that lead me to reattempt adding my tender pigtail.
I cleaned all connections, got the positive side all done, and I put a small slice on side of red rubber boot so it would fit over connections battery end.
I then attempted the negative side. HUM.. Nope short bolt was to short for 3 connectors, and the long bolt even if I got it tightened, it was to tall for battery cover.
So, started looking around the right side, and found something interesting.
I found a ground wire pigtail from when I removed the PCMIII and it is bolted to the frame just North of the Battery, where it runs a ground to battery.
Connected it there, and buttoned everything up.
To my surprise, my Tach now lights up and works. (still gonna run that down anyway).
And when I put a fuse in my lightbar, it worked. Didn't blow any fuses.
I am happy....
Grilling time...
Next tackling of the bleeding of the brakes, and getting me a new air hose for my compressor.

Side Note:
This has been very therapeutic in many ways.
Getting back in touch with CRUSH is very rewarding.
PEACE

Have a question on starting....
Please review this video, at about 41 seconds, listen and tell me, is that how your X starts?
Then go to about 4:20 when he starts this bike.
My bike does not start like this.
Even the first start, my has more umpf.

I needed a Gremlin Bell attached to my chain saw yesterday, a tree I was cutting, on the ground, maybe 4-5' off where it attached to the main trunk, when I cut through it decided to torque-release right at me, and hit me in the chest, maybe cracking a rib right over my heart, and as it threw me maybe 6-8 feet away, probably saved my life, but broke a bone or 2 in the back of my clutch hand. No more riding for me for at least a few weeks.

Oh my God. Chainsaws can be dangerous. I used mine today but used it after I winched the dead pine tree over.
Good to the see the damage was not life threatening. Too close for comfort.
Take care!
Yeah, luckily my 18" Husqy stops the chain/ all but stalls as soon as you let off the trigger.

You guys! Ranger, take it easy for a couple days. Phil, glad to hear you got out for a little romp. Take your time and let it come back to you. MP, most of the time I feel very relaxed working on my bikes. It is good therapy. I woke this a.m.with what feels like a damned sprained ankle. No idea how the hell that happened. Weird.

Got a tie rod bushing remover bushings came right out. Now, putting bushings, not going well.
Also, picked up new OEM f/r brakes, judging by the thickness of these, yep, needed new rear pads.

I was headed to town, hit the starter button, it cranked, and cranked on it's own, about a full minute while I pulled the seat and disconnected the neg terminal....time for a solenoid...
Tap the solenoid with screwdriver handle or something and it usually releases. The old weak battery and the contacts weld together.
