I had the stock heigth progressive springs installed because of the sloppy front end . I had the dealer also put in 15w fork oil . (not sure of the brand)
This took care of the famous "clunk" too.
The bike is smooth in corners now and doesn't wandering around .
STMQT Shock therapy suspension #10 Med fluid. 1 quart will take care of both forks on the 1300 with a little left over.
When I changed my fork oil out, I measured out the 15.5oz like the manual said and poured it into each fork. The front end seemed a little soft, to me, so I added so more (raising the level of oil in the fork from 5.5" to 5" from the top). Doing this stiffened the front end up perfectly. Not to soft, not too stiff, but just right.
