in my younger days I rode a '73 Honds CB350 550 miles in 12 hour from Columbia SC to my home in Norhtern Kentucky for weekend visits and then back to work by Monday morning.
Last June my wife and I went from Chambersburg, Pa to west of Joliet, Illinois. About 650 miles - two-up, pulling a trailer.

620 Miles from Laredo, TX up the hill country, twisted sisters (335, 336, 337) plus Stonehenge replica then back, 7AM - 10PM, included lunch & dinner.

On my '75 Norton 850 Commando.

Just got the VTXs and haven't had a chance to do nearly squat now that I broke my leg on the trike...

One of these days will do an Iron Butt, hopefully before I'm 70 (63 now)

WOW!!! i am small time only 150 miles with my wife on the back
That's nothing to be ashamed of. Many wives will not ride pillion at all, so you are in the minority there.

My wife's LIMIT is about 100 miles in a day.

I don't think I've ridden more than 200 miles in a day on either of my VTXs. However, the day I turned 44, I rode from New Port Richey, FL to Gilford, NH on a 1985 Honda V-65 Sabre. Actually it was longer than a day, it took me 30 hours for the 1,600 miles. I stopped to pee and eat and for fuel, but had to slowdown several times due to multiple thunderstorms.

My longest trips, twice +/- 620 miles and a couple of +/- 570 mile trips, usually either on the first day of a longer trip (3000 - 4000 miles) 'wanna get the hell outta here' or the last day 'I wanna get home'.

I'll quote what is on my Iron Butt Association - SaddleSore 1000 certificate:

"This is to certify that on April 18, 2009, (my real name) rode a Honda VTX1300S a total of 1,078 miles in less than twenty-four hours starting in Columbus, Ohio continuing on the Lexington, Kentucky, Staunton, Virginia and Hagerstown, Maryland before ending Kent Ohio while participating in the SaddleSore 1000 ride."

Holy 16 year resurrection, many on here know I'm a long distance hoe. Longest ride was a Bun Burner Gold 1500 on the LT, 1558 miles in less than 24hrs, 22:59 hrs. On the F650 did about 1450 miles on the first day of an IBA 50CC, Coast to Coast in under 50 hrs, left 1200mi for the 2nd day for a total of 2650 mi in 46:30 hrs. Longest ride on the X was about 1300 mi on the first day of a Saddlesore 2000, left a leisurely 800 for the 2nd day. Also did the Saddlesore 3000 with the LT, 3 consecutive 1000 mile days, 3164 mi. And a few varieties of the Saddlesore 1000, all require 1000+ miles in under 24 hrs.

Most grueling ride was Fairbanks-Deadhorse-Fairbanks with the F650 on the Dalton Highway, about 800 miles of dirt, 1068 total. Got back and Dan the owner at Adventure Cycle works who has been outfitting Dalton riders for decades said he never heard of anyone doing that. He pressure washed me and the bike, told him I'd be back in the morning to swap out tires, he said no you won't, he was right I slept till noon.

If Leroys73 chimes in here he has about a bazillion IBA rides.

Enduro - that is my style also.
150 to 200 miles till I really start to settle into a ride and 500+ before it is a good ride. I've done lots of 1000+ days. Typically between 16 and 18 hours. My personal longest 2 days was 1250 day one and 1350 the 2nd. NY to AZ.
Those long rides are the most enjoyable for me. Sure I like crusing around, stopping to smell the flowers, get a coffee, etc. But the most fun is running the miles for me.
