Stick with Mobil 1 Racing 4T(formerly MX4T) or AMSOIL MCF oils. They are both 10-40 and both made for bikes with no friction reducing packages added.

I started out using the Mobil red cap 15/50, and when they stopped making it I went to the Gold cap 15/50. I've been using these oils for the past 45,000+ miles.

Mike OK,

I did the same as you, however look at the gold cap Mobil One. They have added energy conserving to the label. Everything I've read states to stay away from this as this is the blend that makes the gears slip. If your still using it with no problems then someone needs to rethink the "Energy Conserving" mantra...I switched over to Rotella T and my tranny got louder than when I ran the Mobil One. I'm gonna have to look at the Mobil One 4T which I can't find(special order only) around here. Unless your having success with the gold cap? Let me know...

Thanks

Skip,

Check out your local Wal-Mart, in the Automotive Section where they sell the motorcycle stuff....helmets etc. It was there that I saw both the Mobile 1 4T as well as Full Synthetic for "V Twins". I think that was from Mobile 1 too.

AtascosaVTX,

Thanks for the heads-up. The local Wally World don't have it...Did you see it at a super wally? I may have to head south to the super wally in Fredricksburg and see if they have it.

Thanks again

The gold cap jugs I've been using have the same label as the old red top jug. The bottom of the circled label is blank, where others say energy
Conserving. Oh well after 20,000 miles on this oil I still have no cluth slippage.
