wondering if anyone knows if the stock risers off a 1800 will fit a 2006 1300R. i've only seen a pic of them and thay look like they "might" fit but would like to be sure before i buy a set. if they will fit are the stock cables/wires long enough and are there any modifications required? Thanks

If I remember correctly, the only issue will be with the length of the bolts that mount into the triple tree. When I tried to do this with my "C", only 1/2 the nut would screw onto the bolt, as there was not enough thread. Many have done this and used Loctite, but I decided to go a different route.

thanks your's is the first reply i've even gotten from a number of posts on this and other boards. i "assume" the bolts are in fact studs which thread into the riser unless they are in some way cast into the riser which would probably rule out the idea of just installing longer studs. i have a rather complete shop and can do quite a bit of modification but just didn't want to spend more time than it was worth if they really won't fit. thanks again

They are not studs. They appear to have either been welded in, or are cast from the same block.
