Yeah, I know windshields have been discussed at length. However, I am trying to pick one for my '06 1300R. Will be doing some long distance riding soon, much of it two-up. Concensus on this forum appears to be National Cycle Switchblade 2-UP. However, there also seems to be a lot of posts about buffeting, hard to install, little clearance to the tank.
I am 5'10", stock seat. If I switched seats, I would try for the same seating position, since it seems pretty comfortable to me.

Thoughts?

Opinions on windshields is like you know that other thing everybody has their own. All I can tell you is I have a memphis fats, 21'' it has the old style mount of 4 allen screws but can still be removed quickly, the new mount is even quicker. I have mine pushed forward so I can look thru it but it moves forward and backward easily (6'1")no buffeting but I do intend to get lowers anyway. Im probably wrong but given the width and height of whatever you need I don see how one could be better than the other except for mounting options. The only problem I see with the ms fats is that it comes down far enough to interfer with some lightbars without using a headlight ext. I have an ext. and made my own driving light combo. .02 Good Luck

I have the MS 21" - started w the 19" got so much buffering, thought my head was going to rattle off. Took it back, switched it out and now have little problems (I don't have lowers or anything else). I am also 5'10"; I now have the mustang wide vintage seat and it didn't change anything.

Also, even w the 21" I can still look over the ws just fine. Don't know about the other ws, but this one is easily removable - good for me since I ride 80% of the time without it.

Quick release is definitely the way to go! I haven't seen one windshield yet that looks good on any bike! WORD....
