I just received my J&M CB radio and the instructions say that is should be wired into a "switched" circuit. Does anyone have any recommendations on wiring the JMCB-2003-SL CB into an 1800C model?

Any help is very appreciated.

I used the tail light wire and spliced into it. The R has a power lead in the headlight but no such luck on the C. The tailight is on only when the key is on so no way to leave your radio on and run down the battery.

:agree: I'd also be sure to use a relay (tail light wire as a trigger) as to not overload the lighting circuit.

The JMCB doesn't pull hardly any amps at all. No relay needed on my bike and it has been wired this way for several years. Just my .02 worth
