If I could afford to replace mine I would do it immediately. Brand new and death wobble started on first ride, added Dyna beads and adj. (tightened up steering head bearing pre load) . Helped alot. Frend in N.C. bought same tire 2 weeks later and had the same problem, instant death wobble. He spent allot of $ on front and rear bearings fork springs and helped some, he contacted AVON and the immediately agreed to send a new tire, MMMMMM ????? wonder why. Anyway he bought a new OEM replacement and wobble disappeared! I'm not flaming AVON ( I use an Avon CT on the rear)but it must have been a bad lot of tires. I'm hoping with some wear mine will settle down. Until then I will be very leery of wobble.Just my observances. You decide.

I have them on the bike now and I love them. I've tried several others and these work for me.

I have the avon venoms on my royal star tour deluxe and really like them. So much I am gonna put the cobras on my X when the metz wear out. I have about 5k on the venoms and they still look new, and no road noise at all. Ride safe!

Have run nothing but cobra on mine since the stock tires wore out at 10,000. I have 65,000 now and have never had a problem. I switched to the 200 on the second tire. I get about 14,000 per rear tire. A couple of thousand more on the front.

 

I have had Venoms on my 03 Retro since the stock tires were used up. I was in Orlando and needed a new front tire and had a Cobra put on. It has been a very good tire, no noticeble wobble or wear. I have 31,000 on the bike but have never got more than 9500 miles on the rear tire...I would like to know what it takes to get 14000 miles out of the rear tire.:dontknow:

Have them, love them, would recommend them!!, front and rear.

 

Have Avon Cobra's also--very happy with them. Ran Metzler's before, also like them. Cobra's might be slightly better, but not much.
