Wow I didn't know the bike would be on US shores so quickly! Here is the first official REVIEW of the bike from someone who has ridden it...

Let me know your thoughts :)

..."Being shaft-driven, a rider feels some jacking of the rear end under acceleration, but it’s only really noticeable when you’re riding like a jackass. I occasionally forgot to remember I was on a cruiser, thus I have this info."

 lol

Well written review, I like it.

Those red pin striped wheels are AWESOME!! I'm looking at getting wheels for my snow tires on the car that look just like that... I'll need to get a matching set for my 1300C.

All in all, maybe I'm in the minority still, but so far I really really like this bike!

...hey, can you hear that..?? shh... there it is again! It's the drive shaft yelling "CHROME ME!" :yikes:

All I had to read was this part ....
There’s irony in the fact that Honda, the “nicest people” company, is now building what in our modern vernacular is a chopper, a genre previously associated with ne’er-do-wells, tattoos and hard living.

Is there really any need to read beyond that first paragraph? The only bike review I care about is the review I do for myself.
Heck, if I depended on other people to review the VTX for me and heeded their reviews I'd be out about $1200, on a not-needed aftermarket seat and noisy pipes! ;)

I thought the review was pretty well done. It contained good info - and even stirred up a big debate over the weld quality. How often do moto-journalists point out the negative?!? They also seem to sugar-coat things for ad dollars. I liked the honesty!

So where does this put us on the Fury Progression list:

1. I hate it. Who would ever buy that.

2. Its a Honda. But its too expensive.

3. The more I see it the more it grows on me.

4. If I just had the money I would buy one.

5. I gotta have one.

6. I bought one and its the greatest motorcycle ever.

7. How come you haven't bought one yet?

1 & 2 for me:banghead:

Pretty much the same MSRP as the 1800 so they will probably sell for around the $9-10k range which is cheap for a new scoot and the 1300 engine is very sound and dependable. I want to ride one before I make my final decision on it. The bike has potentional.

I have to say I sat on it and checked it over at the Cleveland Bike show in Jan and it was pretty sweet! The seating seemed comfortable and the positioning felt good also - not much you can tell without riding, but it definitely caught my eye. In terms of buying one? Well lets just say im not selling my VTX anytime soon so it would have to be an eventual second bike for scooting around town. My second thought is a good number of people will jump in the water and buy one and some of them will then decide in one season or less that its not for them and you may see a few for sale at perhaps a reasonable price.

"... silly fat tires ..."

hahaha...
Ya know, the Fury does'nt look 1/2 bad in that top picture. So, $13K, eh? I figured $14K.

Yeah and what is it with those "silly fat tires" comment in the article? Think how silly a 160 would look.

And "size queens" to describe riders who prefer more cc's? It's almost like they're denigrating people who think 1300 isn't enough. That ought to please GW, 1800 riders, and most HD riders - you all are "size queens"!!!!!

"Sloppy welds"... so those made it into production.

8 - None of the above.

I'll wait till I actually see one in person before I take a position on it.
