If you have a Lowes Home Improvement center near your home,
they usually have drawers filled with hardware near the entrance
to the store. On one of the separator pillars between the various
sections of hardware they usually have a board where you can
bring in your bolts and try to fit them to the different threads
in the board and the board has labels to tell you what size
bolt and the pitch of the threads.
