To engage the choke it is pulled out.

Mixture issue pull the spark plugs and inspect the color. Light egg shell tan is good, dark or black is too rich.

For your other issue sounds like you may have a loose battery cable connection at the battery or may have an intermittent ground somewhere.

If you want to know if the mixture is too lean or rich check your plugs.
The Hypercharger has no infuence on the mixture but an aftermarket exhaust could.

 

The knob on the hypercharger is the idle screw.

Fuel enricher knob can be pulled out, then crank/run and then push in to get a medium idle speed.
If it has the stock low speed jet it may stall if closed too soon.
I have a few turns to get out before I push close the Enricher.
An 1/8" of the metal shaft is normal to be seen.
